Freshman Parent Night Presentation
|
1. Freshman class dues will be $5. Each year is $5, except Junior year is $15 in order to fund prom. This generates about $750 ($2250 Junior Year). This math assumes all pay, only about half pay.
2. Class Dues fund the annual homecoming float. The class is allowed to spend $300 of class funds. This about enough to pomp the float. The actual float costs $600 or more. Donations are sought for the remainder. Prom will cost about $5,000 during Junior Year. 3. Each class collects dues during a week prior to Homecoming. Class officers collect during lunch. The money is deposited immediately with Mrs. Henderson. You should expect a written receipt. Keep this receipt until your student graduates. Protect it like GOLD!!! 4. Mrs. Henderson enters a "fee" for each student prior to collection. The fee is then removed upon paying. In this manner, all students are billed equally. Dues must be paid before prom attendance. Ultimately, ALL fees must be paid before graduation. If you miss the collection week, you deal directly with Brandy. All checks to SGHS. 5. Class sponsors should never directly handle the money. We are responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising float construction. Please note, Project Graduation is strictly a parent organization. You do not have to involve Class Sponsors 6. Most importantly, check out the pics to the left. You should see... ...kids with smiles... kids with tools... kids with teamwork... kids building high quality products for the community... kids building memories... This is what good class sponsors do!!! |
